Udon is effortlessly charming—a seemingly simple chair. In reality, a huge amount of skill underlies this contemporary classic's form. Designer Staffan Holm took inspiration from archetypal bentwood chairs and borrowed traditional Japanese carpentry traditions, and used just a few simple joints to maintain a clean line and open structure.
